I had shoulder pain that wouldn’t go away. The third needle into my first session my sinses cleared up. I have had a lifetime issue with my breathing. I am now able to breathe through my nose and actually get a good breathe of air. The other positives is that during the session energy runs through my entire body and when I am finished my body feels lighter, stronger, cleaner and more balanced.

Thank you to PBN member Dr. Xia Che who managed to fit me into her busy schedule today and provide some relief from my tonsillitis! Such compassion and knowledge! I... Read more »

The Science Behind Acupuncture and ADHD

When people first hear the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for either themselves or their children, there can be a mix of relief and apprehension. The relief comes from understanding the challenges that must be faced; the apprehension stems from concerns about the long-term use of stimulant medications. If you face such a diagnosis and are looking for a non-pharmaceutical solution, acupuncture might be part of the solution you are looking for to help manage the symptoms of ADHD. continue reading
The Synergy of Acupuncture and Chiropractic Care: A Path to Holistic Healing

Acupuncture and chiropractic care are two complementary therapies rooted in vastly different traditions but with a shared goal of restoring balance and promoting the body’s natural ability to heal. While acupuncture has its origins in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), focusing on the flow of energy through meridians, chiropractic care stems from Western practices that emphasize spinal alignment and nervous system health. When combined, these two modalities create a powerful synergy, addressing pain and dysfunction from multiple angles. continue reading
Shallow vs. Deep Acupuncture Needling

Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years, originating in ancient China as a method to restore the body’s balance and promote healing. While the fundamental premise — stimulating specific points on the body to affect energy flow or “qi”— remains consistent, practitioners have developed varying techniques, including shallow and deep needling. Each method has its own strengths, applications, and limitations. Understanding the pros and cons of both approaches can help you understand which might be better suited for your needs. continue reading

Why You Should Try Electroacupuncture for Pain Management

For those suffering from chronic pain, traditional medications only provide temporary relief and can come with side effects that leave people feeling sluggish and unwell. Electroacupuncture combines traditional acupuncture with electrical stimulation, enhancing its effectiveness for managing pain and promoting healing. By delivering gentle electrical pulses through the acupuncture needles, this modern approach stimulates nerves, muscles, and connective tissues, offering a potent and scientifically backed method for pain management. Recent studies underscore the growing recognition of electroacupuncture as a safe and effective therapy for various pain conditions. continue reading

Using Acupuncture as an Alternative Approach to Managing Menopause Symptoms

Menopause is a natural phase in a woman’s life, marking the end of her reproductive years. While this transition is entirely normal, it often comes with a range of challenging symptoms, including hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and sleep disturbances. For many women, these symptoms can significantly impact the quality of life. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) has long been the standard treatment for managing menopausal symptoms, but it is not without risks and side effects. As a result, many women are turning to alternative therapies, including acupuncture, to alleviate their symptoms. continue reading
